I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.

"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another."

Nitin Sawhney - Beyond Skin
A sample of Edward Murroware reading this poem is laid over quiet sounds of huge explosions. A slow acoustic guitar tune appears after the words fade, as if there is a fresh new world that has appeared. This quickly fades into a more sad and mournful tone as the vocalist begins to sing. It's a powerful conclusion to Sawhney's album, frightening and emotional. Sawhney's Beyond Skin is a fantastic album of rewarding, organic music and I highly recommend it.
